20th National Conference on Economy and Entrepreneurship

Split, 1 -2 September 2016 – The South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) participated in the „20th National Conference on Economy and Entrepreneurship“, under the full auspices from Croatian President, Ms Kolinda Grabar Kitarović and organised by the Croatian Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts.

Croatian Minister of entrepreneurship and crafts, Mr Darko Horvat held an opening speech and stated that entrepreneurship is very important in our developing society and that Croatian government did some serious steps to boost entrepreneurship. He also pointed out that in recent months more than 2,500 businesses were started as a result of entrepreneurial incentive in our Region.

SEECEL's Director, Ms Efka Heder held a presentation regarding the role and importance of entrepreneurial learning in the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting that the human capital is the most important potential of any economy in creating sustainable growth and SMEs are the core of economic growth, innovations, employment and social integration.

The conference gathered many distinguished guests such as entrepreneurs, businessmen, representatives of local and regional governments, as well as representatives of other institutions, agencies and professional associations to exchange experiences and good practices and also to discuss the current economic problems and highlight the opportunities and possibilities for the development of entrepreneurship and economy.
