Assessing the Implementation of the Small Business Act for Europe (SBA) 2016 in Kosovo*
After welcoming remarks, floor was given to Ms Anita Richter, Ms Sandra Hannig and Mr Max Bulakovskiy from OECD and Ms Isabel Lopez Fernandez from European Commission, who gave detailed presentations about findings of SBA Assessment and discuss key developments and remaining challenges for the business environment particularly and for SME's in Kosovo*.
SEECEL's representative, Mr Stjepan Srhoj was there in a role of a main speaker on behalf of not only SEECEL, but European Training Foundation (ETF) as well. He had a presentation, during which he pointed out the importance of human capital and other soft skills, crucial for development of a whole society. SEECEL strongly believes that the human capital is the most important potential of any economy in creating sustainable growth and SMEs are the core of economic growth, innovations, employment and social integration.
Importance of SME Policy Index Methodology is in ability to better capture the intensity, equality and effect of policy to provide more in-depth policy recommendations and to allow for international comparison. It identifies strengths and weaknesses in policy design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. It also allows comparison across countries and measures convergence towards EU SME policy standards.
