Declaration for the Promotion of the Entrepreneurial Learning in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

At the public ceremony held on 3 June in Skopje, a joint Declaration for the Promotion of the Entrepreneurial Learning in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia was signed between Mr Pero Stojanovski, Minister of Education and Science and Mr Fatmir Besimi, Minister of Economy. The Declaration aims to improve economy-education cooperation and particularly to promote entrepreneurship across all levels education.

The declaration builds on the results of a 2008 assessment the country’s performance on the human capital dimensions of the European Charter for Small Enterprises .

Mr Imerali Baftijari, National Coordinator for the European Charter for Small Enterprise and senior official at the Ministry of Economy, stressed the importance of this agreement both in terms of ensuring further development of relevant policies / measures and setting an example for other countries from the South East Europe region and beyond.
