Dr. Daoud Zatari visits SEECEL

In line with SBA recommendations and the ETF Higher Education Indicators and Assesment project, Dr. Daoud Zatari, rector of the Palestinian Polytechnic University, paid a visit to Univeristy of Zadar as a part of country peer review. Dr. Zatari's focus in particular was on the promotion of entrepreneurial learning as a key competence using across campus approach.

Following that, Dr. Zatari, who is also the president of Tempus office for Occupied Palestinian Territory and the advisor for the implementation of entreprenurial learning in higher education to the Minister of Education, met with Efka Heder, SEECEL director, and SEECEL staff who familiarised Dr. Zatari with SEECEL activities and ethos which focus on supporting national policy processes relevant to entrepreneurial learning in eight south east european nations, as well as support of the regional process in line with EU policies.

Dr. Zatari has expressed official interest for direct cooperation between SEECEL, the university and the Palestinian higher education national work group.

Further discussion focused on the possibilty of sharing experiences regarding entrepreneurial learning, as well as the availabilty of Republic of Croatia's strategy for entrepreneurial learning, a report in which SEECEL contributed significant expertise. Dr. Zatari has requested permission to use said materials provided that they are available in English, and has expressed interest in having the same materials subsequently presented in Palestine.
