Dual Education supported by 80% of companies

Zagreb, 4 April 2017 – International Conference entitled “Apprenticeship Scheme in Croatia: state of affairs, challenges and recommendations” was be held in Congress Centar Forum.

The Conference was opened by Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy for International Affairs and EU Želimir Kramarić, who stated that this area is important for Croatia and how its interest in the work force can lead necessary growth.

Sonja Holocher-Ertl, Austrian Trade Commissioner for Croatia stated that Austria supports Croatia in its efforts to introduce dual education where Austria can help with more than 30 years of experience in the field.

Rector of University of Zadara Dijana Vican stated how economy and education should work together more closely through dual education, mentoring and developing necessary competences.

Božo Pavičin project manager of the Cap4App project presented the aims of the project in promotion of dual education.

The Conference was continued by presentation on report entitled "Analysis of current situation of apprenticeship scheme in Croatia" presented by Maja Ljubić, SEECEL Assistant Director.


This is the first Conference under the project entitled „Cap4App - Strengthening the capacities of the chambers and partners to help SMEs to engage in apprenticeship“, financed from the European Programme Erasmus+.
 
Leading project partner of Capp4App project is Croatian Chamber of Economy and project partners are the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), University of Zadar, Chamber of Crafts Zagreb, South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) and Croatian Employment Service (HZZ).
