European Workshop on Enabling Teachers for Entrepreneurship Education

On 27 – 28 September 2012 the second ‘European Workshop on Enabling Teachers for Entrepreneurship Education - CPD’ took place at the Brdo Estate Conference Centre near Kranj, Slovenia. 90 delegates from 24 EU Member States, Pre-Accession Countries and countries participating in the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) attended the workshop, organised by the European Commission(DG Enterprise and Industry and DG Education and Culture) and hosted by the Slovenian Ministry of the Economy and the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL).

This conference was dedicated to exploring approaches to integrating Entrepreneurship Education in the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of teachers. It followed on from a conference held in Dublin on 2-4 May 2012 on Initial Teacher Training. The conference mixed keynote addresses and presentations of good practice examples with group work and participatory methods; allowing the delegates to engage in in-depth conversation, exchange experiences and explore potential new collaborations and initiatives. Examples of good or promising practice were collected, to be published later for the benefit of a wider audience.

SEECEL's Director Ms Efka Heder and Assistant Director Ms Maja Ljubić presented SEECEL's work as an example of good practice in the field of Entrepreneurial Learning including Learning Outcomes and how to
assess them.
