EUSDR – 7th Meeting of the Steering Group of Priority Area 8 in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 and 9 April, 2014 – The 7th Steering Group Meeting of Priority Area 8 (PA 8) EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), consisting of some thirty heads of different ministries and business organizations from fourteen participating states involved in the strategy, attended the event in Moldova.

The current economic and political situation in Moldova was presented by the Moldovan Government. The agenda included presentation of visions and roadmaps of possibilities for international cooperation between Moldova with the EUSDR, with the stress being on exploring the EU-funded programs.

The Croatian delegation was represented by Ms Dijana Bezjak, Assistant Minister of Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Republic of Croatia; Ms Dragica Karajić, Head of Unit, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Republic of Croatia, Directorate for EU Programmes, Bilateral and International Institutions and Ms Maja Ljubić, Assistant Director, SEECEL.

In a parallel session, SEECEL, as a Danube Flagship Initiative, was introduced by Ms Maja Ljubić. She reported on the ongoing activities, the progress and accomplishments of the strategic developments of lifelong entrepreneurial learning concepts, through EUSDR PA 8 Flagship project, as well as motivated potential cooperation and involvement of other interested Danube countries.
