Expert Group on Data & Indicators on Entrepreneurship Education

Brussels, Belgium - entrepreneurial learning encourages an entrepreneurial mindset in the society, the growth of new businesses and more efficient use of creative potential and existing knowledge and skills. As such, entrepreneurial learning is a policy priority of the European Union and EU pre-accession countries, as well as a growing and developing field in today’s learning and education context.

The European Commission is developing indicators in order to follow up on full implementation of above mentioned policy.

European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) initiated and hosted fourth meeting of Data & Indicators on Entrepreneurship Education expert group in period from 10 – 11 July 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

SEECEL was invited to participate as the regionally recognised expert institution in the field of entrepreneurial learning and it was represented by Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL Director and Ms Maja Ljubić, Assistant Director.

The objectives of expert’s group fourth meeting have been: follow-up on discussions in previous meetings to reach conclusions on recommendations for priority indicators for monitoring on EU level, discussion on recommendations for further data development and possible recommendations to member states about monitoring structures of entrepreneurial learning at national level, development of staff working document (SWD) on entrepreneurship and education and discussion on the first draft report of the work of the expert group prepared by consultants ICF GHK.
