Final conference of Become/remain entrepreneur project

Zagreb, 7 July 2016 - South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) participated at the final conference of the „Become/remain entrepreneur“ project. Carrier of the whole project was Development agency Zagreb, with City of Zagreb and Faculty of Economics as strategic partners and in cooperation with SEECEL, financed by European Union's social fund.

Project's aim was to successfully promote entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurship in general among student population in the area of Zagreb and to provide students with entrepreneurial ideas to get their way into entrepreneurship.

Welcoming speeches were held by distinguished guests, government representatives and City officials, where they greeted attendees and inspired them to enter the world of entrepreneurship. Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL's Director took the floor and said that it's important to build entrepreneurial society and invest in education and development of human capital. Small and Medium entrepreneurs are the core of economic growth, innovations, employment and social integration.

The final conference also presented the winners of the student Business Plan Competition POP project where they presented their innovative business plans.

Also, it was a great honour to welcome Mr Andy Penaluna, professor at the University of Wales and International expert on creative entrepreneurship, who presented the latest trends in entrepreneurial learning and the importance of learning to succeed in business.

Besides Director Efka Heder, SEECEL's representatives were Vesna Štefica, Strategic Piloting and Peer Project Officer, Stjepan Srhoj, Programme Officer and Liaison and Tomislav Prodanovski, IT and CoP Officer.
