Initial meeting of Entrepreneurial Learning - Data and Indicators expert group

Bruxelles, Belgium - entrepreneurial learning encourages an entrepreneurial mindset in the society, the growth of new businesses and more efficient use of creative potential and existing knowledge and skills. As such, entrepreneurial learning is a policy priority of the European Union and EU pre-accession countries, as well as a growing and developing field in today’s learning and education context. The European Commission is developing indicators in order to follow up on full implementation of above mentioned policy.

European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) initiated establishing of the expert work group for development of data and indicators for entrepreneurial learning. SEECEL was invited to participate as the regionally recognised expert institution in the field of entrepreneurial learning.

The expert work group meeting was conducted on 11 December 2012 and SEECEL was represented by Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL Director and Ms Maja Ljubić, SEECEL Assistant Director.

The objectives of the expert work group initial meeting were exchange of know-how between the experts in the field of measuring entrepreneurial learning and competences, overview of current situation with focus on availability of data and defining of objectives and scope of work for newly established entrepreneurial learning expert work group. This successful meeting set up a cornerstone for future activities in the field of data and indicators for entrepreneurial learning as well as a frame for expert work group activities in next twelve months period.
