National SBA Stakeholder Meeting Serbia

Belgrade, 4 June 2015 – The South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) took part at the Small Business Act for Europe (SBA) Stakeholder Meeting organised by the Ministry of Economy. The meeting was attended by the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the European Training Foundation (ETF), SEECEL and a wide range of national stakeholders.

The aim of the meeting was to present the preliminary findings in Serbia and to search for additional facts and figures for the ten principles of the SBA.

The meeting was opened by Mr Željko Sertić, Minister of Economy and Mr Michael Davenport, Head of EU Delagation in Serbia. They were followed by an introductory speech of Ms Katarina Obradović Jovanović, the national SBA Coordinator, Mr Edward Tersmette, Senior Policy Officer at the European Commission and Mr Antonio Fanelli, Senior Advisor at OECD Global Relations.

At the meeting, SEECEL, together with ETF, presented an overview of the SBA findings in Serbia related to the "Human Capital" dimensions: Entrepreneurial Learning and Women Entrepreneurship (Dimension 1) and SME skills (Dimension 8a).

SEECEL was represented at the meeting by Maja Ljubić, Assistant Director and Stjepan Srhoj, Programme Officer and Liaison.
