National SBA Stakeholder Meeting Turkey

Ankara, 12 May 2015 - SEECEL took part at the Small Business Act for Europe (SBA) Stakeholder Meeting which was hosted by KOSGEB. The meeting was attended by the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the European Training Foundation (ETF), SEECEL and a wide range of national stakeholders.

The aim of the meeting was to present the preliminary findings in Turkey and to search for additional facts and figures for the ten principles of the SBA.

The meeting was opened by Mr Tuna Sahin, Vice President of KOSGEB and national SBA Coordinator. He was followed by an introductory speech of Mr Edward Tersmette, Senior Policy Officer from the European Commission and Mr Antonio Fanelli, Senior Advisor at OECD Global Relations.

At the meeting, SEECEL, together with ETF, presented an overview of the SBA findings in Turkey related to the "Human Capital" dimensions: Entrepreneurial Learning and Women's Entrepreneurship (Dimension 1) and SME skills (Dimension 8a).

SEECEL was represented at the meeting by Maja Ljubić, Assistant Director, Thomas Farnell, Entrepreneurial Learning Expert and Stjepan Srhoj, Programme Officer and Liaison.
