Panel discussion on the theme ''The importance of entrepreneurship education in creating a change in society''

Belgarde, Serbia – 25th September 2013 a panel discussion was held on the theme ''The importance of entrepreneurship education in creating a change in society'' in the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

This panel discussion is part of the European Week of Small and Medium Enterprises. The participants were senior representatives of the European Commission, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, NALED, Council of foreign investors, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce U.S. Embassy and SEECEL team represented by Ms Maja Ljubić Assistant Director, Senior Education Expert and Ms Marija Iličković Seconded/National Expert from Montenegro.
 
As a part of Serbian strategy, it is recognized that the further development of the productive sector shall be based on an entrepreneurship educated population, tehnological innovation, market economy and international cooperation. In addition, teacher education and connecting important actors in society (institutions at local and national level) are one of the key educational sub-sectors that contribute the quality of the education.
 
The panel ended with conclusions from the previous panel discussion held in Leskovac and Kragujevac to allow participants to create a document with the accompanying recommendations that will contribute institutional support of program of entrepreneurship education in Serbia.
