Pilot institutions' achievements in Kosovo* recognized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry of Kosovo*, Ms Mimoza Kusari – Lila held a meeting with the representatives of education institutions, direct beneficiaries of the pilot project launched by South East European Center for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) and used the opportunity to discuss the importance of entrepreneurial learning by stating that job generation comes from the private sector and there is a room for improvement of an enterprise culture in Kosovo.

“The promotion of entrepreneurship,innovation and creativity are the topics of our agenda”- continued Minister Kusari – Lila and further appealed to representatives of schools and universities to come at MTI’s open door with new additional ideas.

“Education has a crucial role for the entrepreneurs development and I am sure that the entrepreneurship learning to the children can create selfconfidence and that they can find jobs without being dependent from large companies or other public institutions. I welcome new ideas and where we can facilitate, do not save our contribution,” said Ms Kusari-Lila.

Ms Kusari-Lila used the occasion to consign specially designed plaques containing the title of Entrepreneurial School and Entrepreneurial Faculty to each of the institutions who were actively involved in the process of piloting supported by SEECEL.

Vjollca Komoni, Vice-Deans of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering said that the course of entrepreneurship is a part of the faculty’s plan program which is now available for more than two years. The Director of the Primary School Mihail Grameno thanked MTI for the cooperation by concluding that thanked to this project, their students have started with the implementation of different creative activities. The same opinion share also the other two primary schools; Xhemajl Mustafa and Hasan Prishtina involved in SEECEL's piloting.
 
The President of the University of Business and Technology, Edmond Hajrizi emphasized that it was extremely important during the project development to gather information from regional initiatives by concluding that the entrepreneurial learning is obligatory at this university, also being appointed as pilot institution for SEECEL activities. 

* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of independence
