Presentation of the project '' Women Entrepreneurs – A Job Creation Engine in South East Europe''

Zagreb, Croatia - presentation of the project "Women Entrepreneurship - A Job Creation Engine for SEE" was conducted on 19th February 2013 at the Croatian Chamber of Economy premises in Zagreb. SEECEL was represented by Ms Sandra Roncevic, SEECEL Assistant Director.

The implementation of the project started during 2011. SEECEL implemented the inception phase for the “Women Entrepreneurship – a job creation engine for South East Europe” project in cooperation with RCC and Gender Task Force and funded  by the Swedish International Cooperation Development Agency (SIDA).

The Project  has being implemented in nine countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Serbia, Moldova and Turkey.


SEECEL is working with regional partners in four key development areas to support women entrepreneurs in South East Europe:
 The purpose of the project is to promote women's entrepreneurship in South Eastern Europe through joint efforts of public and private sector, present best practices for female entrepreneurship as well as building the capacity of national and regional women's business networks and associations.

* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of independence
