Final Conference “The Future of Women Entrepreneurship in South East Europe 2015-2020”

Split, 12 – 14 November 2015 – The Final Conference “The Future of Women Entrepreneurship in South East Europe 2015-2020” in organization of the GTF – Initiative for Sustainable Growth, and with the support of Chamber of Commerce Split-Dalmatia County, took place on 12 – 14 November 2015 in Split, Croatia.

The Conference was held within the framework of the Regional Project “Women Entrepreneurship – A Job Creation Engine for South East Europe” which is funded by the Swedish Development Agency (SIDA), contracted through Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) from Sarajevo and co-implemented by the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) and GTF in nine SEE countries from 2012-2015.

The aim of the project is promoting best policy practices in women entrepreneurship in line with the Small Business Act for Europe and capacity building of national and regional women entrepreneurs' networks and associations.

The Conference was attended by representatives of parliaments, local and national governments, women business associations, chambers of commerce, academia, entrepreneurs and others.

Director of SEECEL Efka Heder in her address expressed gratitude to project partners, donor and all parties involved in SEECEL activities, such as entrepreneurs, experts, decision makers, etc., whose joint efforts resulted in production of learning and educational materials issued by SEECEL. Moreover, Heder highlighted SEECEL willingness to continue providing support for women entrepreneurs and its openness for future projects related to women in business.

Besides Heder, SEECEL was represented in the Conference by all its members involved in the women project: Maja Ljubić, Assistant Director; Sandra Rončević, Assistant Director; Sonja Šegvić, Office and Event Manager, Vesna Štefica, Project Activity Officer and Danijela Kasunić, Project Assistant.
