Danube Financing Dialogue

The first meeting of the Danube Financing Dialogue within the Danube Region Strategy will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of March 2012 in Vienna.

The Danube Region EU Strategy is a macro-regional strategy that covers all countries along the Danube and its primary objective is to address common challenges and coordinate existing policies and programs to reinforce integration in the region. Of the 11 priority areas within the strategy, the focus at the meeting will be the 10th priority area - Institutional capacity and cooperation.

In particular, one of key elements of the priority 10 is the creation of a Danube Investment Framework to assist project owners in the region in developing project proposals, and facilitate coordination between different funding sources.

At the meeting, international experts will gather to discuss vital issues concerning the financing of SME projects in the region.
