Round table –„What can we do to increase the performances of the business transfer processes for SME's in Croatia?“

Zagreb, 7 June, 2016 - The South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) attended the round table –„What can we do to increase the performances of the business transfer processes for SME's in Croatia?“, organised by J.J. Strossmayer University from Osijek and Centre for development of policies for SME's (CEPOR).

The round table is a part of a „Business Transfer Awareness Raising – Developing activities and tools to advance business transfer success (BTAR)“ project, financed by Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIF). The project started in December 2014 with the main goal to strengthen the support system for the transfer of small and medium enterprises in the countries that participate in the project.

Participants of the round table presented the results of the project and examples of good practice in the EU countries in activities aimed for raising awareness about the importance of the transfer of business for entrepreneurs and relevant institutions. Afterwards, discussions about the possibilities of EU good practice in Croatia took place with interesting participants and their opinions and overviews.

The discussion also included Mr Albert Colomer Espinet, director and founder of Centre de REEMPRESA de Catalunya in Spain, the first on-line platform for business transfers in Spain, with more than 30 years of experience in supporting the development of entrepreneurship in Catalonia.

SEECEL strongly supports entrepreneurial-friendly environments and wants to strengthen the mind-sets for building entrepreneurially literate societies that lead to sustainable economic growth and development.

SEECEL's representative was Ms Vesna Štefica, Strategic Piloting and Peer Project Officer.
