SBA Assessment Process Kick - off

SEECEL is pleased to announce the beginning of the Small Business Act for Europe (SBA) Assessment Process in South East Europe and Turkey in January 2015, as a very important step within the overall SBA process in Europe.

The kick - off will bring together representatives from eight SEECEL Member States, as follows: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Serbia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey.

A part of SBA Assessment Process will be led by the European Training Foundation (ETF) and SEECEL. This part will focus on the implementation of SBA principles 1 and 8. The principle 1 particularly focuses on building policy frameworks and support systems to promote entrepreneurial learning, as well as including special focus on women’s entrepreneurship. The principle 8 focuses on skills within the sector of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

Finally, the assessments will be conducted through a self-assessment by each country, a peer review by experts from neighbouring SEECEL partner countries and an external -assessment (by experts and policy makers from the stakeholder institutions in each country with their counterparts from SEECEL and ETF).
