SEECEL at ETF "Learning from evidence" conference

SEECEL took part in the "Learning from evidence" conference hosted by the ETF in Turin on the 10th and 11th of April.

The primary mission of the conference was to underline the importance of evidence-based policy approach as one of the key elements of the Torino Process. The Torino Process provided a framework for reviews of vocational education and analysis of links between business and education.

The participants of the conference adopted a declaration to further the goals of the Torino Process, in particular focusing on providing an integrated lifelong learning approach to education and training, improving existing vocational education and training systems and stimulating creativity and innovation through entrepreneurial learning.

Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL director, commented that: "The Torino Process is an important step in promoting evidence based policy making as a crucial element of smart and sustainable growth. SEECEL particularly welcomes strong recognition of entrepreneurial learning as one of key drivers of economic growth, creativity and innovation."
