SEECEL Director in Dublin guest speaker on the theme “Revitalising Growth in South East Europe”

Dublin, 12 March 2014 – The seminar was hosted by The European Commission’s DG Enlargement and the Institute of European and International Affairs (IIEA).

Being Ireland’s leading independent think tank and policy research institute, the IIEA acts as a forum, bringing together stakeholders to discuss issues of national European and international significance.

Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL’s Director, addressed efforts in the South East Europe and Turkey, to strengthen human capital by promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and policies for lifelong learning.
The mentioned project is supported in part by the EC’s instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).

Dr. Peter Sanfey, Deputy Director of Country Strategy and Policy, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), discussed the region’s transition and the reforms, both, political and economic, social inclusiveness and human capital (including education and training),   required to revitalise growth in South East Europe.

Ms Efka Heder was joined by Ms Sandra Rončević, SEECEL’s Assistant Director.
