SEECEL´s publication “Women Entrepreneurs’ Indicators”

Zagreb, Croatia, January, 2014 – A new publication entitled “Women Entrepreneurs’ Indicators” has been produced and published by SEECEL within the project “Women Entrepreneurship - A Job Creation Engine for South East Europe”.

The project is financed by the Kingdom of Sweden through SIDA office (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency-SIDA) and the project activities are implemented by SEECEL and Gender Task Force (GTF) in close cooperation with Regional Cooperation Council (RCC).

SEECEL´s publication portrays the process of creating, piloting, converging and accepting of the second generation of measurable Indicators of Women's Entrepreneurship. Measurable Indicators of Women's Entrepreneurship constitute elements of the first and the eight principles of the European Small Business Act (SBA).

Collaboration of experts from SEECEL Member States (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey), made and show measurable indicators. The aim is to harmonize their development policies, monitor the process and to encourage systemic changes that lead to the launching of new businesses. The phenomenon of women entrepreneurs examines the economic approach, in terms of investment in human capital as one of the main drivers of competitiveness.
