SEECEL TNA work group meeting concluded

SEECEL together with KOSGEB hosted a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) working meeting in Istanbul on the 15th and 16th of December 2010. The meeting is a culmination of several months' intensive work on the SEECEL Community of Practice (CoP) where national and international experts discussed and defined prerequisites for SEECEL future actions in the field of entrepreneurial learning at the level of small business communities.

Present at the meeting were national experts of eight countries of South East Europe (SEE), who are also members of the SEECEL TNA community of practice, as well as members of KOSGEB and ETF.

The meeting focused on developing and finalising a regional TNA questionnaire that is due to enter a pilot phase in September 2011.

Maja Ljubić, SEECEL’s programme development coordinator, remarked that the meeting was extremely successful in defining specific variables that the regional questionnaire should include, as well as constructing a robust instrument that will promote competitiveness of SMEs in the region.”

“I am very pleased with the work and effort that the national experts presented. This is an excellent example of structured and meaningful regional cooperation that will bear fruit in the future.” commented Igor Nikoloski, SEECEL international expert and work group facilitator.

Mr. Tuna Sahin, vice president of KOSGEB, opened the meeting by saying that the region has plenty of potential and that “we should work from our common history to a shared future.” While closing the meeting, Ms. Efka Heder, SEECEL director, added that "it has been an immense pleasure to see this regional effort reach a key point in its development. It shows that open communication and exchange of experience can lead to significant regional progress and development."
