Smart cooperation in coastal and maritime tourism

Brussels, 20 January 2015 – The European Commission hosted the conference entitled "Smart cooperation in coastal and maritime tourism: encouraging transnational partnerships through clusters and networks".

The conference was organized with the purpose of giving impetus to cooperation and transnational partnerships between stakeholders in the coastal and maritime tourism sector.

The key issues were raised through several sessions. The first session focused on the important role of European clusters and networks for growth and innovation.

The second session emphasised building and strengthening partnerships in clusters and European networks. The last session was an opportunity for summarizing all the previous findings and conclusions.

The conference was attended by SEECEL representatives Ms Efka Heder, Director and Ms Sandra Rončević, Assistant Director.
