TAIEX Seminar on Building Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship - Twenty Years of Sharing EU Expertise

Bratislava, 23 – 24 May 2016 - South East European centre for entrepreneurial learning (SEECEL) participated as a speaker at the „TAIEX Seminar on Building Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship - Twenty Years of Sharing EU Expertise“, organized by European Commission in co-operation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

Developing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth and improving the employability of young people are among the main priorities for the European Union member states, potential candidates and neighbourhood countries. Young people hold the key to future dynamism and prosperity. However, in some countries, more than half of the young people are unemployed. Young people today find it increasingly difficult to get a decent and stable job and youth is highly suffering the effects of the economic crisis.

SEECEL's Director, Ms Efka Heder had a presentation where she presented SEECEL's work and its support for young women entrepreneurship and job creation. During her presentation she highlighted the importance of the human capital as the most important potential of any economy in creating sustainable growth and SMEs are the core of economic growth, innovations, employment and social integration.

This workshop is one of the five that are being organised by TAIEX to mark the twentieth anniversary of the TAIEX instrument. The target audience is employment, education and entrepreneurship policy makers and business representatives from candidate countries, potential candidates and neighbourhood countries.

SEECEL's representative was Director, Ms Efka Heder.
