The Chairman and Minister of Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Republic of Croatia Mr Gordan Maras welcomed the members of the International Steering Committee by presenting the programme for this meeting.
The SC members had an opportunity to listen about the progress of various SEECEL activities with special focus on the future planning and construction of SEECEL building.
After the regular programme, a visit to construction site of future SEECEL building was organised. The visit was hosted by the main construction contractor and monitoring team.
During the site visit, Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL Director presented some numbers on visits of construction site to SC members.
From the beginning of the construction, more than 200 students have visited the site for „learning by building“ opportunity from various educational institutions e.g. Architectural Engineering School, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Architecture and Technical College.
The idea is that the construction site of future SEECEL building serves as a learning opportunity for student to get acquainted with this unique social infrastructure project for private sector development and competitiveness.
In October 2015, Ms Elżbieta Bieńkowska, European Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs has visited the construction site and has expressed strong support to SEECEL.
