The 15th SEECEL Steering Committee Meeting

Zagreb, 1 December 2016 – The South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL) hosted 15th SEECEL Steering Committee Meeting. Meeting gathered distinguished representatives of eight SEECEL Member States, the European Commission, European Training Foundation, Regional Cooperation Council and other international guests.

Firstly, the opening statement to the meeting was done by SEECEL Steering Committee Chairperson's delegate, Ms Nataša Mikuš Žigman, State Secretary at Ministery of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Republic of Croatia. The opening was followed by statements by Mr Simone Baldassarri, European Commission representative, Mr Anthony Gribben, European Training Foundation representative, Ms Vanja Ivošević, Regional Cooperational Council representative and Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL Director.

After opening statements, the floor was given to SEECEL Director, Ms Efka Heder, who presented report on SEECEL activities for period from April 2016 until December 2016, one of which was organisation of final conference on Entrepreneurial Learning in Šibenik that gathered more than 400 participants from the area of entrepreneurial learning and SME skills. This event also presented the achievements and structured regional cooperation inside SEECEL's Entrepreneurial Network, highlighted examples of good practice and set guidelines for further strengthening of entrepreneurial climate in society.

Ms Heder also announced the final and closing activities which will occur by the end of the year and presented plan of activities in plan for the year 2017. 

Having in mind that this year Croatia took over the Chairmanship of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and its corresponding programme and priority areas, SEECEL Steering Committee Meeting also served as an introduction to a SEECP Ministerial Meeting: SME Competitiveness and Growth – Zagreb Charter on Lifelong Entrepreneurial Learning, organised jointly by the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE) and the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL), which took place on 2 December 2016, Zagreb, Croatia.

SEECEL team would like to express a great gratitude to SEECEL Member States and its key supporters: the European Commission, the Croatian Chamber of Economy and especially to Croatian Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Crafts. Besides Ms Heder, SEECEL's representatives were Ms Maja Ljubić, Assistant Director, Ms Sandra Rončević, Assistant Director and Ms Sonja Šegvić, Office and Event Manager.
