The European Tourism Day
The event gathered around 400 participants, who had the opportunity to exchange views on some topics of key importance for the future competitiveness and sustainable growth of the European tourism sector. The participants included members of the European Parliament and the Committee of the Regions, policy makers at a national and regional level, including Ministers and Presidents of Regions and representatives of international organisations, industry, trade associations and businesses and tourism destinations.
The debate focused on exchanging views and good practices about successful policies at EU, which will attract investment in tourism and enhance its synergies with cultural and creative industries, innovative practices and the use of digital tools for integrating culture and creativity into the tourism experience, as well as financial support to projects in this area and promoting EU tourism.
