Thematic Working Group on Entrepreneurship Education

Bruxelles, Belgium - Thematic Working Group in Entrepreneurship Education was set up in December 2011 to advance uptake and improve the quality of national policy approaches to entrepreneurship education. The group was established under the mandate of the ET2020 work programme as a priority area within education and training. Member State representatives are actively involved in the group through participative methodology, and have been integral to defining and developing the content and expected outputs. Early work looked at the broad picture of entrepreneurship education, while up-coming meetings now focus on specific themes.

European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture hosted a Thematic Working Group on Entrepreneurship Education - Peer Learning Activity (PLA) on Learning Outcomes and Assessment conference in Bruxelles in period from 23-25 January 2013.

SEECEL was invited to participate in Thematic Working Group activities as unique expert institution to share SEECEL developments and achievements in area of entrepreneurial learning outcomes definition and implementation and it was represented by Ms Efka Heder, SEECEL Director and Ms Maja Ljubić, SEECEL Assistant Director.

The PLA was opened with a discussion of the results of the recent European Learning Outcomes survey on ISCED 3-6. This was a survey initiated by the Learning Outcomes (LO) Sub Group, and they presented the first draft learning outcomes developed through this work. The work on day two was focused on a number of practice examples, and how these compare and contrast to the knowledge gained through the survey. The goal of the third day was to explore how education support agents and innovative learning technologies can be important tools in the acquisition of entrepreneurial learning outcomes.
