Torino Process: Moving Skills Forward Conference

Torino, Italy – the ''Torino Process: Moving Skills Forward'' conference was held in period from 8 - 9 May 2013 in organisation of the European Training Foundation (ETF). The Conference in Torino has hosted participants from all ETF partner countries to share progress in identifying a path leading to ownership, efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of the vocational education and training system.

The two-day conference was opened by Ms Madlen Serban, ETF Director.  Furthermore, the audience was welcomed  by Mr Antonio Silva Mendes, Director of European Commission's Directorate General for Education and Culture. The participants of the Conference were addressed through video message by Androulla Vassiliou, European Commission's Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth.

Mr Dražen Pros, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship and Crafts, in his addressing has highlighted the strategic role of SEECEL in the development of entrepreneurial society in Croatia, as well as in South East Europe in general: “SEECEL is a positive example of regional cooperation that includes policy development, education sector and entrepreneurship, as well as the technical framework dedicated to the development of learning and entrepreneurship. SEECEL today represents a reference point for countries included in SEECEL’s network that encourages and strengthens regional cooperation and cooperation with EU member states in the sphere of development of lifelong entrepreneurial learning. The Government of Republic of Croatia will remain to support the region and further cooperation with the European Training Foundation and other partners, after the accession to the European Union”, concluded Deputy Minister Pros.
