Women as promoters of positive changes
Women entrepreneurs should definitely promote positive changes but the main question was what actions are necessary to increase the number of women in management structures. Plan is to make 40% of women in business in general, make them more independent and teach them how to think and act entrepreneurially.
The main goal of the conference was promotion of women entrepreneurship, exchanging advices and experiences, networking and discussion about themes related to women entrepreneurship in all Europe. Ms Birgit Kersten from German Women Lawyers Association shared her experiences from Germany and women’s demands for gender equality.
SEECEL's director, Ms Efka Heder, participated in the main panel discussion about how women entrepreneurs are an untapped source and a great potential for strengthening competitiveness in economy in general. SEECEL partnered nine countries to develop a systematic and strategic approach to strengthen the role of women in business and its many activities helps raise awareness of the challenges that women entrepreneurs face in our region.
